I am a freelance wine and drinks journalist and consultant.

I regularly contribute to a number of trade and consumer publications including: Decanter, Club Oenologique, Wine Enthusiast, Harpers Wine & Spirit, Whisky Magazine, and Good Beer Hunting.

I judge and have judged numerous international wine and beer competitions and I've been Director of the British Guild of Beer Writers.

Before I embraced full-time writing, I worked as a sommelier and took a PhD in Musicology.

My first book, "Come Riconoscere i Vini", was published in 2021 by Italian publishing house Newton & Compton.
