L’Oreal Thompson Payton is a Chicago-based, award-winning journalist, brand storyteller, author and speaker. She was a health and wellness reporter on Fortune's Well team covering life, health, mind, family and more. She has written articles that appeared in SELF, Shondaland, and Well + Good, among others, and held editing and reporting roles at YR Media, Jet magazine and the Baltimore Sun.

She is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland. When she’s not busy writing -- which, to be fair, isn’t often -- L’Oreal can usually be found reading, dancing or doing yoga.
