I am a Pakistani-American writer, born and raised in the 201. After completing my studies in English and Journalism at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, I furthered my education at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. My enduring passion lies in utilizing my writing to gain a deeper understanding of the world around me. In addition to my writing experience, I have held roles in operations, management, administration, and program coordination. Most recently, I served as an assistant managing editor at INSIDER, where my primary responsibilities included overseeing the fellowship program, establishing partnerships, and providing support to young journalists of color. Whether through my writing or managerial roles, my commitment remains steadfast in diversifying newsrooms and amplifying the stories and voices of underrepresented communities.
