Job Description
CAI is seeking a driven and dynamic PR & Communications Specialist. Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, you will play a pivotal role in advancing CAI's public relations efforts while also supporting internal communications as needed. Collaborating closely with our PR agency, you will help to ensure that our key messages are effectively conveyed to the public and our employees.

This position will be full-time and remote.
What You’ll Do
Provide robust support to the Executive Director of Communications, including write and edit press release, byline, and soundbite copy, action plan development, event coordination, and more
Collaborate with our PR agency to develop and execute strategic public relations initiatives
Support internal communications efforts as needed, ensuring messaging is consistent and aligns with our brand messaging and core values
Research and draft award submissions and maintain calendar of submission deadlines and award announcements
Contribute to the success of established PR programs by introducing innovative and creative strategies
Work with various groups across the organization on targeted programs and projects to enhance internal and external communication efforts
Monitor industry trends and peers to evaluate the effectiveness of our PR initiatives and make necessary adjustments to maintain our leadership position
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging PR and Communications principles and best practices, recommending appropriate changes to programs, policies, and/or practices
Handle administrative needs related to department operations, such as preparing reports, delivering messages on multichannel communications, organizing documents, scheduling, etc
Required
What You'll Need
1+ years of experience in a core PR role, with exposure to internal communications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-driven and able to manage projects with minimal supervision
Strong analytical skills, with experience in tracking data, reporting, and providing metrics
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Experience in building relationships and communicating effectively across an organization
Proven ability to innovate and design processes for new initiatives
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
High degree of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
Some travel may be required for events and/or conferences

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
